You are expecting it… La Fête du Spit 3rd edition is right on tracks ! Thanks to the Greenspits volunteers it’s a high end event that will take place on September 21st, 22d and 23rd 2018.
Climbing is a lifestyle worth celebrating ! The Fête du Spit concept was born because the Greenspits founders enjoy planning, celebrating and gathering. The event is meant to be fairly intimate with only 250 pre-sales. To situate, you could compare it to the size of a big wedding where you won’t get lost in the crowd and you will have the time to chat with a large share of the participating climbers. La Fête du Spit isn’t a festival aiming to democratize climbing but a true gathering of climbers, for climbers. This event was created to inspire and grow a sense of identity and pride towards being part of our community and especially of a new generation of altruistic climbers acting with the future in mind.
Commitment and sportsmanship will meet nature, art, music, good food and beer !
A great team of motivated #greenspitsmembers has bolted 70 routes in various profiles adding to the existing, mostly elitist routes. A new vertical wall of around 25 meters of grey sculpted limestone is born. Routes between 5c and 7c are waiting for you. The typical big St-Léger overhanging walls are not lacking either, the choice is actually tough in ordre to challenge our special guests !
The idyllic setting of the Toulourenc low gorges itself is worth the trip. The most fearless will be able to enjoy the view of this turquoise blue river from a 150 meters highline set by the very best French highliners.
Again, we are generously welcomed by Mollans-sur-Ouvèze’s Mayor who supports us to develop the parking spots and organize the event. True to the spirit of their municipality, inhabitants of Mollans Valérie and Marc welcome us once more on their spacious tree-filled land. Many thanks !
